Now in my fifties with a lifetimes experience riding some pretty brutal dirtbikes I recently bought a 250 rally same color as yours. Love the thing. I really enjoy what it offers and...likewise what it does not...expense, high maintenance, unreliable and demanding to ride. It's a blast on the road, does a great job on freeways for what it is, reasonable on dirt, light, flickable, reliable as hell and extremely cheap to buy, own and run. I have no regrets...bought it over the phone before ever having ridden one. Loved it in the first five minutes. I d just add, the DR-Z400 isn't really lighter, not by the time you bolt on some adventure goodies, and in no way feels lighter to ride, particularly off road. That was my most recent bike and I sold it because I just got tired of the top heavy feel, lack of modern features, etc. Great bike 20 years ago, but gimme EFI and ABS anyday. The Rally is so much nicer in almost every way...albeit with less grunt.

For me its putting a 100-100-18 K270 tire on the rear, and AL sprocket with MX chain. Those 3 shave over 4lbs off, all off the crank too so u gain back a little power lost

Question: was your model affected by the recall? I have the exact same bike, purchased it used and found out later that certain bikes in that model and year had a factory recall. My information has been unclear as to, if it was all or some of the 18s that were affected. I checked the vin on the NHTSA website and it told me it had 0 un-repaired issues but do not know if it never had an issue or it has already been repaired. It had almost 5k miles on it when purchased and have had no issues but searching for any additional information. I love the bike and your video. Cheers!

What is the difference between this bike and the Honda crf250

Not a beginner but wanted a long lasting low priced adv with Honda quality. Thoughtful and funny vid, two years later i wonder, do you still have and ride it? The upgrade bug is dangerous when confidence grows 😂, then things can get real expensive!

Careful, some of the tail tidys are illegal because of regulation s concerning taillight location. Besides 2.8 pounds isn't a concern.

With that exhaust you'll need to retune your ECU. The bike already runs lean. That exhaust will only make it worse. Sure you save a few pounds (most of it in heat shield which you may need) but you won't gain anymore HP. You're just moving the torque curve. But now your gas milage will go down, because you have to richen up the mixture or risk burning your exhaust valves.

It works. It took me 1 hour until i watched your video and fixed it. Thanks a lot

For the money I think a good investment would be the 550 performance ECU it made a huge difference on my bike I went with the same exhaust you did except mine is the carbon fiber same company same size can

From my personal experience, it is a waste to pay to reduce this bikes weight. Lighter bike is actually less comfortable to ride at highway speed. My dad, brother and I just road the OK portion of the TAT, and in most cases, the bike needed a little more weight to feel stable. If you're wanting to do trials completion or MX, then by all means, reduce the weight, or get a different bike.

Just to say you are a hero! I haven’t used my P3 for four years and it had exactly the fault you described. All started up ok, but screen had Aircraft Disconnected. I had tried several times. Been on forums. Tried various suggestion. NFG. Then I found your video and did what you suggested and it worked! Simple when you know. Anyway with much thanks for making my day. James.

Another wana be video creator , director , using you tube as a entry level launching platform. Matto in his video displays a android screen with the image of the DJI app on the sceeen & then a side view of of a phantom 3 . at which time instructs hit this hit that button. WHAT BUTTON , Viewing the side of my phantom 3 advanced in the gimble area , I see two recessed detents . SO PUSH WHAT What blows me away, is all positive accolades to this frenzied speed video. What did all the positive commentors get out of this video , I didn't. .

I got one of those exhausts for my 1992 Yamaha Serow. Certainly a bit (too) loud, but i liked the sound. I quietened it down by putting a stainless steel pot-scrubber in the silencer in front of the baffle. Perfect! Same note, but a less neighbour-annoying racket. And weight saved (my old exhaust had rotted out anyway..) Les in UK

I used the same taillight and didn't like the gap underneath, but I found that an old license plate, with a little bending and trimming covers up the gap perfectly. I painted it black so it blends right in.

Okay so i had a little crash on my phantom 3 standard, fell about 12ft (ran into a tree😅) but now when i power up everything connects but once I go on the app and click camera, it shows camera footage but says "aircraft disconnected" and i cant do anything with thw drone, any tips? Is it something loose or something could've broken from the crash and fall? I dont wanna slam it into a wall 🤣😅
